TENACIOUS D, aka actors and musicians Jack Black, pictured, and Kyle Gass, get ready to rock the MEN Arena in Manchester on Tuesday (December 12). Celebrating the release of their new feature-length movie, The Pick Of Destiny, the power-metal duo also unleash their new album of the same name in time for their Manchester show. The D (as they're better known) started out as a chance encounter between Hollywood actors Black and Gass in 1984 after which the pair went on to star in the self-titled US comedy series. The band's debut album featured Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters on drums, Page McConnell from Phish on keyboards, Warren Fitzgerald from the Vandals on guitar and Steve McDonald on bass. Tickets for the Manchester show cost £25. Ring the box office on 0870 190 8000 for details. |
