A SELL-out is expected at LIPA's Paul McCartney Auditorium in Liverpool for a rare performance by Cleo Laine and Johnny Dankworth. The first couple of British jazz perform on Sunday, October 29 - the day after Cleo's 79th birthday - in the company of some of the finest musicians in the country. Trombonist Mark Knightingale, John Horler on piano, drummer Allan Ganley and Cleo and Johnny's son, Alec Dank-worth, on bass, also appear. The concert is presented by Liverpooljazz, the city's organisation for developing and promoting the music form. Michael Swerdlow of Liverpooljazz said: 'LIPA's Paul McCartney Auditorium is one of the city's best kept secrets and we have selected this unique, sophisticated and intimate venue for this special concert.
