It means the Castle Ground’s finest can claim the championship by winning the big one on September 7 at Hyde, who need to triumph and keep their visitors to 10 points or less if they are to sneak top spot. The Greater Manchester outfit go into the title decider in poor form, however, having lost their last outing heavily at Neston, who posted 80 and then bowled out Hyde for just 20. |
