EWLOE Harriers kick-started their Under 14s Division campaign on Saturday with a 10-0 romp at Brynford United.

Josh Jones, Tom Hainsworth, Kieran Davies, Aaron Taylor and Jack Evans shared the Ewloe strikes.

Unbeaten Shotton Steel moved level on points with table-topping Connah’s Quay Tigers after Owen Smith (2), Ross Hughes, Darren Watton and Macaulay Dodd saw them to a 5-0 home victory over Holywell Town Juniors.

A second-half super show swept Mynydd Isa Youth to a 5-2 home triumph over Penyffordd, who replied through Josh Williams and Arthur Doo. Alex Coventry (2), George Jones, Luke Thomas and Owen Lewis got the goals for Isa in what was their first win of the season.

Mold Junior Hawks also got off the mark as, inspired by Oliver Hughes (2), Rob Rayner and Connor Griffiths, they won 4-1 at home to Penyffordd Colts, for whom Timothy Owens saved face.

Mostyn Dragons booked their place in the second round of the NWCFA U14s Cup with a 6-1 success at Llanfairfechan.

Curtis Jones’ hat-trick was complemented by Andi Edwards, Jake Richardson and Matthew Wilkinson.

Shotton Steel cemented top spot in the Under 15s Division on Saturday as they won 4-2 at home to Hawarden Rangers.

Andrew Hoxby (2), Ryan Thomas and Kieran Williams did the damage for the Steelmen, with Thomas Bonney and Jordan Walker taking Hawarden close.

Flint-Bagillt Juniors, courtesy of Phil Simon (2) and Jack Higgott, remain just three points behind the Steelmen in second following their 3-2 home victory over Cymru Hotspurs.

That was how it also finished between Penyffordd and Halkyn United, with Phil Evans, Aaron Roberts and Tom Grieveson finding the net for the winning hosts, Joe Mulvey and Macaulay Cooper for Halkyn.

Josh Edwards got Aston Park Rangers’ goals in their 4-2 home loss to Hearts Madrid, while Jake Spencer scored Holywell Town Juniors’ consolation in their 5-1 home reverse by Hearts Madrid.

Prestatyn Athletic, thanks to Harry Knowles, Liam Small (2), Chadd Marsdon, Brett Derbyshire, Nathan Jones (2) and Matthew Galea, were 8-0 winners at Glans.
