KALLUM Pierce hammered a double hat-trick as Holywell Town Juniors romped to a 9-0 Under 15s Division victory at Glans on Saturday. Ryan Wilson (2) and Ryan Lawlor’s complemented Pierce’s six-goal haul. Hawarden Rangers won their all-Flintshire Challenge Cup first-round tie at Aston Park Rangers 3-1. Jordan Walker, Kyle Davies and Thomas Bonney were Hawarden’s heroes, with Andy Lee scoring what turned out to be a consolation for Aston. Shotton Steel went down 1-0 at Cymru Hotspurs while Penyffordd, despite Elliot Bond’s strike, lost 3-1 at home to Towyn Rangers. Flint-Bagillt Junior Eagles are also out after they were edged out 4-3 at Prestatyn Athletic, for whom Brett Derbyshire, Rhys Lewis and Matthew Galea (2) struck. Joseph Goundrey, Tom Cutler and Jake Higgott took Flint close. Shotton Steel pulled clear at the top of the Under 14s Division on Saturday after they won 4-2 at fellow high flyers Connah’s Quay Tigers. Owen Smith, Ross Hughes, Jake Eyre and Dewi Griffiths shared the strikes for the Steelmen, with Kyle Harte getting both of the Tigers’ replies. Buckley Town Juniors, through Connor Boyle, Charlie McGowan, David Taylor and Matthew Lewis, maintained their title charge with a 4-1 home victory over Mold Junior Hawks, for whom Anthony Cheetham reduced the deficit. Mostyn Dragons are also up among the leading pack after their 2-1 triumph at Holywell Town Juniors, secured by Matthew Wilkinson and Ryan Ansen. Ryan Renshaw was on target for the Wellmen. Tom Ward (2) and Alex Hormsley found the net in Ewloe Harriers’ 4-1 home win over Penyffordd, for whom Arthur Doo pulled a goal back. |
