SUBSTITUTE Aden Shannon stepped off the bench to bag two goals in the last three minutes as Welshpool completed a remarkable fightback. Having trailed 2-0 at the break, the Lilywhites rallied with a brace from Calvin Davies on his return to the club before Shannon put paid to Carmarthen, who played the last 20 minutes with 10 men. Carmarthen moved ahead with two goals in five minutes, Kaid Mohamed crashing home a 15-yarder on 20 minutes before Nathan Cotterall drilled home a penalty via the post after keeper Ged McGuigan had fouled Walters. Pool, however, hit back a minute into the second period when skipper Geraint Windsor's through-ball eluded the defence and Davies ran on before rounding Thomas to score. Carmarthen's hopes appeared to fade further when Lee Donner was sent off on 72 minutes for pulling back substitute Sean Butler, but Steve Rogers' goal drought continued when the striker's penalty was saved by keeper Thomas. Pool levelled as Davies slotted in at the far post from a Brett Jefferies, and Shannon headed home for the visitors from Windsor's deep cross from the right before the substitute swept home a cross from the right from Butler to seal a memorable comeback.
