Get your hands on Roman remains

DEVA Roman Experience is an in-situ archaeology exhibit from Roman, medieval and Saxon times, discovered beneath the streets of Chester. There is also a 'living history' exhibit in the form of a Roman galley including smells and sounds from the era, to transport you back in time. In the hands-on area visitors can handle some of the artefacts found during the excavation of the site. Genuine antiques are also available to buy in the gift shop.
