THIS season a tourist group is hoping to attract more attention with their new colour brochure. Although the Snowdonia Farm Holidays group has published black and white brochures in the past, this year, with funding, they have officially released a new colour leaflet. The group of friends, many of whom are farmers' wives, got together 18 years ago as a marketing co-operative. They were working on their new website prior to the foot-and-mouth crisis, so plans to continue promoting their self catering and bed and breakfast holidays, had to be put on hold. Chairwoman of the group, Jane Williams, explained: "We had a member of the Welsh Tourist Board help us launch it. We also had help from Gwynedd Council and it was partly funded by the European Union. "We have printed 2,000, but I don't think it will be enough. They are going very quickly, we will have to get some more printed. "We are all Welsh speaking, and we hope that if people have got somebody coming to stay from abroad, that we will be a good choice for them. "This has been a big boon to the group, and I think the colour brochure was the way forward. It includes enough details about each, so that people can book directly, they don't need another brochure to come with it." The brochures are available at tourist information centres, but for more information log onto their website at www.snowdoniafarmholidays.co.uk. |
