MOST tourist attractions have activities tailored for children and there's traditional fun like donkey rides, games and shows on many beaches and promenades. But if you're still looking for a way to keep the children amused, particularly in wet weather, try one of the following. The Harlequin Puppet Theatre, Rhos-on-Sea, is a charming traditional attraction on the Cayley Promenade. Children are well-served in Rhyl where there is the Ocean Beach Fun Fair with its awesome rides, Geronimo's Indoor Adventure Playground, and the Suncentre with its waves, slides and monorail - all on the prom, along with the less successful Children's Village. For waterbabies there is also Wrexham Waterworld and a tropical lagoon at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre, Acrefair, nearby. At Pwllheli both Parc Glasfryn Activity Centre and Bodvel Hall Adventure Park provide family fun and in Caernarfon a church has been converted into The Fun Centre, 14,000 square feet of giant slides, ball pools, nets and ropes. |
