MORE than 30,000 people have opened a new account in the first three days since its launch, the Halifax bank said today. Its Regular Saver account aims to enc- ourage people to put cash aside after research showed very little new money was being saved. The account pays an interest rate of 6% on condition a set amount is saved each month for a year. |
