PEOPLE prefer to save for a specific goal rather than just put money aside for a rainy day, research showed today. Only a third of people who are saving say they are building up an emergency fund, with other people saving for a distinct purpose, says Marks & Spencer Money. Some 56% of savers say they are putting money on one side to pay for a holiday. Meanwhile, 29% are saving for something new for their home and 27% save towards a deposit on a house. |
