THE hair is shorter and the dark eyes sharper. But if you look closely you will recognise the innocent face of a young Ozzy Osbourne. The Class 2B photograph of Birchfield Secondary Modern School, Perry Barr, Birmingham, was taken in 1958 or 59.
Ozzy, then 11 or 12, is pictured on the right in his three-buttoned jacket.
At the rear is their class teacher, Wil Parry Williams, of Tregarth, near Bethesda, who before his retirement was headmaster of Ysgol Treborth, Bangor.
Mr Williams, now 70, came across the old school photo of a determined-looking Ozzy dressed in a smart, grey suit, white shirt and dark tie while searching through a trunk-load of old school photographs at his home.
Now former Black Sabbath front man Ozzy is the star of cult fly-on-the wall TV series The Osbournes - known more for its swearing than musical content.
But for Wil then, Ozzy was always "a pleasant boy". He said: "I always found him to be a well-mannered, obedient, rather withdrawn boy, who always appeared neat and tidy and was full of self-pride.
