"The ferrets are pets as well as used around the farms for chasing rabbits away down their burrows. We are expecting over ten ferrets this year as people who came last year loved the idea of bringing their ferret to show off and involve in the activities." Funds raised from the Ferret Funday will be distributed between three charities - NCH Cymru, the children's charity; First Response (Betws Y Coed) and the Reconciliation Group who work with youngsters in Rwanda. NCH Cymru runs 22 Projects across North Wales for vulnerable, disabled, marginalised and isolated children, including support for young carers in Conwy, Gwynedd and on Anglesey. The ferret fun starts at 1pm, Sunday in St Mary's car park. |
