Using a large video screen the brothers take part in some interaction as Rhys introduces and narrates the story. Rhys had his first acting break as Hamlet in a Theatr Clwyd production and is best known as the man who outshone superstars Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in Notting Hill - by appearing in his underpants. He has also starred with Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves in American football comedy The Replacements, and with Harvey Keitel in Little Nicky. His best known collaboration with his brother was Twin Town, the darkly-comic and controversial film that tells the tale of twins living on society's margins in Swansea and getting their kicks from joy-riding and drugs. Llyr has recently been working with Theatr Frundefinedn Wen, Gwynedd council's theatre in education company, presenting shows to young-sters in their schools. Both brothers have always paid tribute to their parents. Rhys said: "My father, Eirwyn, is a brilliant actor and I'm sure that if he had been born into my generation he would have been one of the best actors around. I get my stillness from him and my passion from my mother, Beti Wyn. They never pushed us as actors but they encouraged us to be truthful." |
