Gwynedd council electoral services team confirmed they had received a small number of complaints about faulty postal vote envelopes. A spokesman said: "We would urge all postal voters to check that the envelope provided for their ballot paper seals properly. "Should envelopes prove to be unsafe, voters can use sticky tape to seal them. "We stress that the ballot paper along with the envelope, including the declaration of identity, and signature of both voter and witness, must be returned. "For further help or advice, they can contact the electoral service team on 01286 679291. "We consider the secrecy of the voters ballot papers to be of the utmost importance. "We will therefore be taking up this matter with the stationery supplier." Wrexham, Flintshire and Conwy councils are sending out their postal votes this week. Anglesey council has mailed the envelopes, but a spokesman said they have not received any complaints to date. All about... PLAS Y DDUALLT Picture: ROBERT PARRY JONES |
