My mohican bet cost me my job

"It said I was sorry to hear that but I would be keeping it for the summer. He said if that was the case we would have to part company. That was it. He asked me to leave there and then."

Jason claimed there were no complaints about his work - or looks - before.

He said: "I grew a beard and nobody said anything and I had a moustache for 22 years. I shaved that off and not a comment was made. Just look at the mohican - it's pretty wide and looks neat and tidy."

Since being axed, Jason has been looking after his three dogs - sheepdog, Fudge, alsatian-sheepdog cross, Bonnie and Jack Russell, Molly.

Jason decided to take legal advice after both the Citizens Advice Bureau told him there was little he could do.

"Legally the owner may have been in his rights but I don't think it was ethical. Surely there must be something I can do? My mother's disabled so my wages paid the bills. I need to find another job pretty quick."
