He said: "I did eight jumps in total, each one we kept moving the jump further and further apart. "At first we thought we could do the jump at 75mph to break the record but it became obvious that we had to go faster. "When we got up to 80mph, to be honest it was getting pretty dodgy on the bike.' "It was more excitement going at that speed. "I beat the record by a foot, but just to be sure there was no arguments I did the jump again and must have cut loose from the bike at about 83mph - the exact distance was 133ft 6inches." The 35-year-old only had a few days practice before he made the attempt. Jason is better known for his record breaking motorbike exploits. He holds five world jump records including the largest number of lorries parked side by side. Jason, who used to live in Coedpoeth, near Wrexham, spent last summer helping Simon Miller and Phil Johnson who set up the centre. |
