Initially the Anglesey Sea Zoo refused to accept Mr Stevenson's version of events and were adamant that monkfish are no threat to the public. "I don't know how much money I will receive, but to be honest it was never about that," said Mr Stevenson: "If one of my children had put their hands in and this had happened to them, it would have ripped their arteries to pieces." An insurance broker spokesman for the Sea Zoo said they were still waiting for correspondence over the claim. He said: "The claim is still in hand at the moment. "Liability has not been admitted. We are waiting for medical evidence." |
