CAMPAIGNERS against hunting say they called the police after the body of a fox was used to taunt them in Denbigh on Saturday. The anti-hunt lobby were canvassing members of the public in the town centre when a van drove past with the dead animal suspended from the back. The animal's severed tail was then swung out of a window. Judi Hewitt, of Denbighshire Animal Rights, said that the matter was reported to the police. Mrs Hewitt added that apartfrom the taunt incident, the day had gone well and she was pleased with the amount of support which had been shown. A spokeswoman for North Wales Police said that following a complaint about the body of a fox being hung from a van an officer spoke to the driver of the vehicle and "suitable advice was given". |
