A BIRD-LOVER was yesterday banned from going within a mile of two rare nesting ospreys. Marc Llewelyn Jones, 47, appeared in court accused of harassment and common assault. Pwllheli magistrates bailed Jones on the condition he did not go within a mile of anywhere used by the RSPB for breeding protected birds. Jones was also banned from contacting RSPB staff. The case was adjourned until June 1. But outside court Jones, a translator, of Tan y Foel, Bethesda, said: "My concern has only ever been for the safety of the eggs. There are three eggs and 29 nights before they all hatch. "It only needs one person to take them and there's thousands of acres of woodland in which to hide." |
