A 16-year-old boy was recovering in hospital last night after being hit in the chest by a speedboat's propeller. The boy, who was on holiday, was airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, on Sunday after being thrown overboard and hit by the propeller in a freak accident. The teenager and two companions fell from the boat when the centre console became detached a short distance off Abersoch, Ll£n. A coastguard spokesman said: "He had quite deep cuts but they are not thought to be life-threatening." The two other people who were rescued from the sea were not injured. The boy's condition was said to be stable, and his family were with him last night. |
