WHEN two-year-old terrier Remi vanished during a walk on a North Wales moor her owner began a desperate 500-mile search for his beloved pet. Lee Evans put up posters and scoured the country roads of Denbighshire and Conwy seeking news of his Jack Russell bitch. But Lee's frantic search ended in joy and amazement just four days later. Remi had zig-zagged 30 miles across North Wales, from Llyn Brenig reservoir all the way back to Lee's workshop near Abergele. Remi's remarkable tale began last Thursday evening when Lee took her and his other Jack Russell, Rio, for a walk near the reservoir on Hiraethog Moors.
The 38-year-old welder parked his van near the windfarm which recently came into operation. Remi, who is named after former Manchester United midfielder Remi Moses, shot off into the nearby forest. Lee, of Maes y Dre, Abergele, said: "She seemed to be spooked by the turbines." |
