Psychic quest for 'cat-napped' Leo

Jul 7 2006

Daily Post

A NORTH Wales pet psychic has been employed to track down arare-breed cat worth £3,000 which the owners fear has been cat-napped.

Leo, a flat-eared Siamese, went missing four months ago.

Catherine Walker, of Pwllglas near Ruthin, who is paid by pet owners to communicate with animals, is helping Leo's owner, Maureen Martin, with clues to where he is being held.

Leo went missing from home in Dundee, Scotland, in late March after adoor was left open.

Animal psychic Catherine, 62, believes that Leo is being held captive in atop-floor room of a three-bedroom, semi-detached house.

She said he can see the top of a bus stop, a telegraph pole and lots of school-children out of a window.

Catherine, who is also a supply teacher in Denbighshire, said: "I sensed Leo was still alive.

"I can either see apicture, hear a voice or get ageneral feeling.

"He is still fit and well, but he is frustrated because he is locked in the house and he can't get out.

"Somebody is definitely keeping hold of him. I have given an indication of the area where he might be. I just hope she's able to find him soon." Maureen, 50, is desperate for his return and has offered a £500 to anyone who can help bring him back.

Maureen has even set up a website dedicated to the hunt for her missing moggy.

On it, she claims 18-month-old Leo has a boyfriend - a neutered tomcat called Max.

Maureen said: "Leo will be useless to anyone who's pinched him because he's just not interested in girls.

"I originally bought him to breed with and a lot of people know exactly how much he's worth.

"But from time to time, a male cat comes along who just doesn't want to know - and he's one of them.

"He's now part of the furniture and is like asoulmate to me and I just want him back.

"I used all my savings to buy him and he's not insured, but he'll be useless to anyone who's got him."

Last November, Leo beat nearly 100 cats to the prestigious FIFe - Federation Internationale Feline - world title in Italy.
