TWO North Wales firms face court action over the death of ateenager electrocuted on abuilding site. Miall Gwyn Roberts died when 11,000 volts of electricity surged through his body as he laid concrete foundations for a new unit at a Bala industrial estate. The Health and Safety Executive said after atwo-year probe it was prosecuting the companies over the 19-year-old's death. RL Davies & Son Ltd, from Colwyn Bay, and Permanent Flooring Ltd, of Bagillt, Flintshire, both face two charges under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. They will appear before Dolgellau magistrates in September. An HSE spokesman said: "The charges relate to employers' responsibilities for the health and safety of its own employees, and to other persons including contractors. "We can't make any further comment now until the case is concluded." |
