A HEALTH watchdog struck off a North Wales paramedic who worked while on drugs.
Gavin Widdowson admitted taking drugs Nubain and Diazemuls from NHS trust stores and using them while on duty.
A Health Profession Council panel struck off the former paramedic, based at Queensferry Ambulance Station. He has until the end this month to appeal.
He was earlier sacked by the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust following an investigation.
Colleagues at Queensferry Ambulance Station reported him after becoming suspicious of his behaviour, and Mr Widdowson was suspended from duty in 2004.

The Welsh Ambulance Service launched a probe and produced are-port. On July 29 last year the service held a disciplinary hearing.
A panel concluded Mr Widdowson's actions, which he admitted, amounted to gross misconduct and he was dismissed.
