WALES kicking legend Neil Jenkins will head a star-studded line-up at a charity rugby match in the Vale of Clwyd next weekend. Former British Lion Jenkins, world record points scorer in internationals with 1,049, will feature in a celebrities v locals game at Denbigh Rugby Club next Saturday at 2.30pm. The match has been organised by Llion Edwards to raise funds for Ysgol Prion. Last year Llion, whose son attends the school, arranged a charity football game for the same cause. The celebrities squad will also include Wales defence coach Rowland Phillips, ex-Wales fly-half Arwel Thomas and S4C presenters Alun Williams and Anthony Evans. Sale Sharks prop Eifion Roberts, who first came to prominence at Ruthin, will also be present. The local team will be made up of Vale of Clwyd players. Admission on the gate will be £3.50 for adults and 50p for children, all proceeds going to Ysgol Prion. |
