Viking are entitled to five percent of the tickets but are unlikely to take up their full allocation. Rhyl's European heroes, meanwhile, are expected to receive a rapturous reception when they take on Tranmere Rovers in a friendly at Belle Vue tonight. Manager John Hulse plans to field the side that pulled off last week's historic win over Atlantas, with the exception of Chris Adamson, who is unavailable. "Against all the odds in a very intimidating atmosphere, we made it through to the next round," said Hulse.. "Our fans were absolutely superb and there should be a big crowd to welcome the team back." Hulse has failed to sign former Tranmere striker Gary Jones, who has joined Grimsby Town on a two-year contract. Another ex-Tranmere player, Alex Hay, is having trials with Accrington Stanley but will consider a move to Rhyl if it doesn't work out for him. Former Rhyl utility player Michael Walsh, 19, who moved to Chester City last season, is thinking over an offer to rejoin the Lilywhites. * TICKETS for Rhyl's Uefa Cup home leg against Viking Stavanger on August 11 will go on sale at Belle Vue tonight. |
