JOHN LOVE from Old Colwyn will be featuring on the a Muay Thai Kick Boxing and unlicensed boxing show at the North Wales Conference Centre on Llandudno promenade on Friday, April 21.

Talented local fighters from the Taz Muay Thai and Kick Boxing Club, based at John Bright sports hall, will be up against opponents from across the country.

John, who is coached by former World champion Eugene Valerio, won the British title by inflicting the first defeat on Mark Turner of St Helens with a second round knockout. l For ticket information for the forthcoming show at Llandudno, telephone 07798707940 or 007724202717.

nTWO students from John Lynn's Black Belt Karate Academy in Colwyn Bay, Jordan Roberts and Jade Tipper, passed the converted black belt after working towards it for over four years.

The Dan grading, held in the association head Dojo in Rhyl, lasted over three hours and were graded by Kyoshi Lynn who flew over from America to take the grading.

Jordan Roberts, who is only 12, is one of the youngest students in the association to receive his black belt.
