concerned resident from Prestatyn 09:25:19 29 April 2008
I was amazed how quickly Prestatyn Football club were able to get there improvements under way. Within 2 hours of getting planning permission granted the club grounds had all building material delivered, all floodlights delivered etc., how you wonder did a miracle happen in prestatyn when usually you have to order and await for weeks for such materials to be ready. Maybe they have a crystal ball and knew they were going to get permission.

  • I ADMIRE the teachers who did not strike because it is evident they have a conscience, unlike the strikers.

    Polish up for parade
    Apr 30 2008
LOCAL newspapers all over the country, like this one, very kindly printed my letter announcing a “fun weekend” for ex-National Servicemen, which included a massive parade at the National Arboretum at Alrewas at the end of June. more

WE are clearly approaching council elections again.
    Apr 30 2008
Both myself and my wife have received letters from one of our councillors (Plas Mawr ward, Abergele). A councillor that has, for the last three years, disregarded our letters and even disregarded a petition, signed by a number of ratepayers within this Abergele ward, requesting assistance to improve Dickensian conditions existing within our town. more

I FULLY support Clwyd West AM Darren Millar’s views on the windfarm light idea, it would add insult to injury to all who were against the erection of the Hoyle bank windfarm from the outset. more

    Keep fire within burning
    Apr 23 2008
IN the days before many homes had central heating, it was important to know in advance if visitors were due to arrive. A fire would be lit in the fireplace to make sure the room was dry, bedclothes would be aired and water heated up for washing. How do we, today, make the guest feel special? How do we make them feel completely at ease? more

SO far as I can make out, Welsh Water’s charges for its domestic customers have been increased by eight percent for 2008/9.

AS A student voter I’d like to express my horror at the news that BNP councillors have been elected as they were unopposed in Conwy County.
    Apr 16 2008
Insidious parties like this and unscrupulous “independent” candidates rely on voter apathy to creep in and take control of councils. Don’t let this happen in Denbighshire. more

Easter is past but we need to remind ourselves constantly of its importance in our daily life.
