Brave toddler enjoys birthday despite infection

A BRAVE toddler who had a liver transplant in June was back in hospital at the weekend with an infection diagnosed on her third birthday.

Little Ella Noon, from Kinmel Bay, was allowed out of Ysbyty Glan Clwyd to attend her party but wasn’t able to take part in the festivities as she was feeling too poorly.

But thankfully Ella made a good recovery from the illness and on Tuesday afternoon was allowed home.

“She’s fine now. It was some sort of infection which responded to treatment,” said her mum Andrea.

Ella was taken ill shortly before she was due to attend her party last Saturday. Her parents took her to hospital as a precaution and doctors allowed her to attend the party although she was readmitted afterwards for treatment.

On June 3 she had a nine-hour transplant operation at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and before the weekend’s minor setback had been doing well.
