Make a date with our exciting new edition

Sep 17 2008

by Alan Davies, Rhyl Visitor

A message from editor ALAN DAVIES about the launch of the new Denbighshire Visitor.

IT’S very much a case of out with the old and in with the new as we invite you to make a date next week with our new edition of the Visitor.

We are making some exciting changes to our newspapers and the main one will be the launch of a new free title, the Denbighshire Visitor.

The first edition – available next Wednesday, September 24 – will continue to be delivered to homes in Rhyl and will be ready for pick-up in stores, shops and general outlets in Prestatyn, Rhuddlan, Meliden and Dyserth.

This of course means that this is the final edition of the Rhyl & Prestatyn Visitor, but the intention is to provide a true Denbighshire paper covering the coastal towns and extending into the Vale of Clwyd.

The Denbighshire Visitor will be joined by a new online companion newspaper, increasing its availability and reach.

From next Wednesday it can be found at www.denbighshirevisitor.com and it will bring you regular news updates from across the county each and every day.

Another exciting development is that in the not too distant future the Denbighshire Visitor will be moving to a new full-colour press, providing it with a bright new look.

It is important to us that you regard the Denbighshire Visitor just as much YOUR paper as the Rhyl & Prestatyn Visitor.

We urge you to make sure you get a copy and have your say on what we do and how we do it. If we are doing things right feel free to tell us. If we’re getting it wrong tell us as it is!

And what about the type of content we carry? Are there people and organisations we should be telling everyone about? Are we missing out on something?

If you’ve got something to say or a story to tell contact our and your newsdesk on 01745 345899.

And remember, make a date next Wednesday and every Wednesday with the new Denbighshire Visitor!
