I was amazed how quickly Prestatyn Football club were able to get there improvements under way. Within 2 hours of getting planning permission granted the club grounds had all building material delivered, all floodlights delivered etc., how you wonder did a miracle happen in prestatyn when usually you have to order and await for weeks for such materials to be ready. Maybe they have a crystal ball and knew they were going to get permission.

In reply to Prestatyn Town F.C. supporters, concerning the redevelopment's at the club the issue is not just regarding the flood lights the club has not got suitable access down through a cul-de-sac nor adequate parking facilities to move up into the welsh premiership, maybe the club should be looking to relocate as the team has outgrown there ground.
May I congratulate all involved in the Happily Ever After production at Church House, Abergele, last week. Great performances by all. Many thanks to North Coast Church for the practical help with make-up, costumes, sales and also loan of lights and sound systems, plus the volunteers to work them.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mr O'Kelley, Mr Barlow, the Orthopaedic team and all staff of Wards 3 and 14 at Glan Clwyd Hospital for the excellent care and treatment I received following my recent accident. Even when understaffed and under pressure, everyone treated me with kindness, respect and a sense of humour.
I was most impressed by the standards of hygiene and rigorous cleaning regimes I witnessed during my stay and even enjoyed my meals!
Thanks also to the Theatre staff - I was feeling quite scared before my operation and their understanding helped me a great deal.
Finally, my ongoing thanks to everyone at the Fracture clinic. If I had to have this accident, I couldn't have wished for better care than that which I have received at Glan Clwyd
Have your say... what do you think should be done to make Rhyl a better place to live and work? As a prospective county council candidate I'd like to know what you think is important.

I wonder when Tesco are going to start building there Proposed Store in Prestatyn? or are they just holding on to the land
If you where 35 and had been attacked by a 66 year old woman who had grabbed you around your neck cutting it in three places And given the fact that you had two witnesses who saw the whole thing. Would you expect the police to take action against her or leave her get away with it?
If the roles had been reversed I would be in prison by now.She is proud of the fact that she had me arrested for the assault as she had hurt herself during the attack. I had stepped forward circling my arm to remove her hand from my neck. Purely self defence. But why havent the police passed the details of this case to the CPS.
The policeman handling the case told me that the CPS had chosen not to take this to court. I connacted the CPS. I was told that this was not the case and that the police had decided not to take this to court. How can we trust the police when they lie like that?
I want my day in court to clear my name.
I want justice.

Why are the Council trying to destroy the only decent thing we have in Rhyl. Leave us our bit of culture. We do have decent kids here who arn't yobs and who want to pursue drama and the arts. We actually have the best theatre in the area, where we can see West End Shows without going to Manchester or London, where people travel here and it well frequently used by the local schools and drama/dance clubs, giving the youth an opportunity of doing something other than hang arounds arcades, as that's all you have to offer. Make some revenue from the Sun Centre instead, which is used for less than half the year by holiday makers Reduce the admission fee and let locals use it more often. We actually live here so please cater for us and leave our theatre alone.
I was in rhyl in the late 50s-to 60.I was brought up in st winifreds childrens home-brighton rd-im looking for anyone who was there at that time, also looking for erica williams-married name hobbs
I care about Wales my Mum's Birthplace and I'm trying to find Edward Lewis son of Rev. David Albert and Dilys Lewis

This Anwylshire story published this week is utter rubbish. No large developer will submit an application unless they have thoroughly investigated its acceptability to the planners prior to submission. They do not fire them in willy-nilly and see what gets rejected! Of course they get accepted - they have done their homework and consulted with the planners first. The inplication that the planners or councillors of Denbighshire are rolling over is pure publicity hunting by unscrupulous individuals. And as to this Tip Lane, Prestatyn site - what is the problem?? Those opposing it are pure NIMBYists. We are always reading about the need for new housing and that site seems ideal!

I have just read the article on the possible closure of the Pavillion Theatre for part of the year. I think that this would be an awful shame and a waste of an amenity that Rhyl had long needed and is an asset to us.
My family and I go to the Pavillion several times a year for many different shows including the Panto at Christmas, it is close to home and has a wide variety of shows and brings stars to Rhyl that many people would not get to see otherwise. I have mobilty problems and I dont drive so the Pavillion is the ideal place for me and my family. I dont go to the theatre in LLandudno for shows as it is too much for me, I have only been once in all the time time it has been there with a friend and I thought that what we have in Rhyl was much better. We need the Council not to cut the funding but to think of the people of Rhyl and help to preserve the continual full time use of this great asset to our town.
Is there anyone out there out there who actually cares about Rhyl? They're going to tear down the one and only last Victorian building left standing on Rhyl Promenade. Rhyl Queens Arcade. Please do not let another shopping mall be here. Thank you, Stuart Jones saverhylqueens@aol.com
