RHYL Library, Museum and Arts Centre is currently playing host to "Abram Games: Maximum meaning, minimum means". The exhibition runs until March 8. Many of the most memorable graphic images of mid 20th century Britain were the work of designer Abram Games. He applied his personal philosophy of "maximum meaning, minimum means" to posters, stamps and advertising campaigns, and changed the face of graphic design and art school education in the 1950s and 60s. His daughter Naomi will be giving a lecture on the work in the exhibition on February 26 at 11am and 2pm. This is free but booking is essential. Call 01745 353814. |
