Wine tasting in aid of British Heart Foundation

Feb 6 2008

By Andy Davies

LOVERS of fine wine are invited to join David Senior at the Kinmel Manor Hotel, Abergele on February 13, at 7.30pm to help raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Sue Jones, secretary of the Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Branch of the BHF explains why.

"This is the third year that David has organised a wine tasting evening for our branch and they have all been very well-received – really good fun and informative," said Sue.

"We are very grateful to David for the effort he puts into these events, and also to the sponsors for their help in allowing us to keep down costs."

With over 30 years experience in the drinking and experimenting of wine, David has chosen six excellent wines (three red and three white) from six world leading growers that should please everyone, the most expensive being a £30 bottle he is donating from his own collection.

"It would be great to see as many people as possible, so that we can maximise the income for British Heart Foundation," said David.

If you would like to join in the wine tasting, tickets are £10 per person and can be bought from Deli-t-full at 10 Bodfor Street, Rhyl, or by phoning Sue Jones on 01745 331971.
