Panto tonic for young Glan Clwyd patients

Jan 23 2008

By Justine Bailey

YOUNG hospital patients were given a boost last week when stars from Rhyl’s panto turned up with a tasty treat.

The cast of Aladdin, which was showing at the Pavilion Theatre until last Saturday, made a special trip to the children’s wards at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and presented them with a special panto cake.

Six-year-old Ian Roberts, who has been in hospital over Christmas with a broken leg, and Harry Deveney are pictured with some of the stars of the popular panto – Peter Hillier from CBeebies Boogie Beebies who plays Wishy Washee, Chris Ellison (better known as DCI Frank Burnside) who plays baddie Abanazar and Kerry Newell from CITV’s Fun Song Factory.
