DON’T cry readers, a brilliant Frankie Valli tribute show is on its way to Rhyl’s Pavilion Theatre. Big Girls Don’t Cry is a totally live concert recreating the unique sound of Valli and The Four Seasons, from their romantic ballads to their disco hits – and dancing in the aisles is allowed! Among the songs are: Sherry, Let’s Hang On, Walk Like A Man, Silence Is Golden, and Why Do Fools Fall In Love. As the lead singer of the Seasons, Frankie Valli had a string of hits beginning with a classic number one, Sherry in 1962. In 1975, Valli’s song My Eyes Adored You hit number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 and he sang the theme song from the 1978 film version of Grease, which also went to number one. The iconic status of the Four Seasons has resulted in the hit musical The Jersey Boys, based on the life story of Valli, which is currently playing to packed houses all over the world, including London’s West End. Big Girls Don’t Cry will be at the Pavilion for one night only on Thursday (tomorrow) from 7.30pm. Tickets £14.50. Contact the box office on 01745 330000. |
